The Equal Credit Opportunity Act (ECOA) prohibits creditors from illegally discriminating against credit applicants for any of the following reasons: sex, marital status, race, color, religion, national origin, age, receipt of public assistance income, or the good faith exercise of rights under the Consumer Credit Protection Act. ECOA has had a major impact on our society by making credit equally available to all applicants. This course is designed to provide you with the knowledge and skills necessary to encourage, accept, and evaluate credit applications within the boundaries of the Equal Credit Opportunity Act."
